Cool Palm Frond Coolamons

About the experience:

Learn the ancient ways of coolamon creation. Coolamons traditionally have many uses - serving & carrying food, the mixing of ochres & medicines, carrying babies and being toy canoes for the little ones. In this workshop we:

• Take cut pieces of piccabeen frond and soak them, discussing the process and Cultural history
• See and experience the creation process
• Create a mini art piece to take home

• Your palm frond coolamon
• A self-created piece of art
